DIVISIONS: White Division 14 & Under

MATCH FORMAT: A team must consist of eight (8) players, minimum four- (4) boys and four (4) girls. The maximum number of players is ten (10). Each team match will consist of one boys' singles, one girls' singles, one boys' doubles, one girls' doubles, and one mixed doubles.

SCORING: White and Blue Division Stars League: 3.0 JNTRP and Below

DETERMINATON:

MEMBERSHIP: All athletes and coaches must be 1999 members of their local AAU Association. Membership will be checked at team check-in. AAU Membership - Athlete = $10.00 - Coach = $12.00

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all White and Blue Division participants of USA Team Tennis. Players holding a current national ranking are not eligible. Sectional ranked players are eligible in the Blue Division.

ENTRY FEE: $335.00 per team. No personal checks will be accepted. All entry fees must be in the form of either a cashier's check or money order and should be made payable to the 1999 AAU Junior Olympic Games. Please do not send cash. No refunds. The team entry fee entitles each team to a total of three (3) coaches credentials and a maximum of ten (10) athlete credentials. Entry fee does not include AAU Membership for athletes and/or coaches.

ENTRY All tennis entries must be received by Wednesday, July 7, 1999. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED

DEADLINE: BY THE DEADLINE DATE OR YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE.

RULES: This championship will be conducted under the USTA rules in accordance with the United States Tennis Association (USTA).

AWARDS: AAU Junior Olympic Games medals will be awarded to the top eight (8) places in each division. The 1999 Joel Ferrell Memorial Award will be presented to the outstanding male and female athlete in the competition. In addition, USTA Sportsmanship Awards will be awarded to one male and one female in each division.

TEAM CHECK-IN: Pre-Registration: It is extremely important that all entries be received in Cleveland no later than the previously mentioned deadline date. ENTRY FORM (S) RECEIVED BEYOND THAT DATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!! Of course, we want as many athletes as possible to participate, so please get all entry forms in on time. Again, guaranteed overnight delivery will become mandatory if it is the only way to ensure compliance with the deadline date.

COACHES A mandatory meeting for all participating tennis coaches will be held on Saturday, July 31 at 8:00 p.m. at the
MEETING: Cleveland Convention Center.

CELEBRATION CEREMONY: Celebration Ceremony will be held at Gund Arena on Wednesday, August 4 at 7:30 p.m. To facilitate your arrival at the event, the Local Organizing Committee is setting up a hassle free transportation system that will make scheduled pick-ups at convenient locations throughout the Cleveland Area and deliver you right to the arena doors. At the conclusion of Celebration Ceremony, you will board the shuttles and be returned to your parking location. In order to arrive at the arena in time for the festivities, please plan to use the transportation system by utilizing the parking lots located close to your hotel. (A detailed map and parking directions will be provided at athlete check-in at the Cleveland Convention Center). Enjoy the spectacular show without the hassle of restrictive parking. Please be sure to fill out the appropriate section of your Event Registration Forms so that we can accurately plan to have enough shuttles at designated locations to pick you up! We look forward to seeing you at this year's Celebration Ceremony!
