"The pitching staff is loaded with 7 studs and 3 lefties," proclaimed Tri-City Hurricanes coach Mike Martin. The team says they are honored to be in Cleveland at the AAU Junior Olympic Games and promise to make Tennessee proud. With a 32 - 8 record coming into the tournament, Coach Martin is sure the team is ready to win gold. The team's athletes hail from Kingsport, Johnson City and Bristol, Tenn., and in their first game defeated the Potomac Gators, 10 - 9. The Hurricanes play Central Texas Baseball Academy at Cuyahoga Community College today at 2:30 p.m.
